Yorkshire Antiques & Art Fair
Bowman Antiques Fairs of Shipley, West Yorkshire are organising their second Yorkshire Antiques & Art Fair at the Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate on Saturday & Sunday 22nd and 23rd May.
After 32 years of running their flagship event at the Bingley Hall, County Showground, Stafford, Bowman Fairs are delighted to return to their roots.
"After the great success of the first event last November, we decided to stage two antique and art fairs every year", said Helen Bowman, one of the family team who have organised antiques fairs since 1973. "Our first Yorkshire Antiques and Art Fair was incredibly well received by the antiques trade and public. Whilst the top end of the antiques and fine art market is well served, there has been a gap in the market for a mid-range quality, relaxed event. The Yorkshire Event Centre is the ideal setting for a large quality antiques fair with easy access, ample free parking and good catering. The positive feedback has been overwhelming. We are working hard to increase the diversity and interest of the stands to offer the best selection of antiques, art, retro and vintage in the north of England".
At the May event, amongst the exhibitors booked so far are, Le Style 25 from London with deco furniture, Glen Ebbs from Buckinghamshire with Georgian to deco silver; Altan Azmi from Kent who specialise in art deco and art nouveau sculpture; Coldkettle Antiques from Northumberland with country furniture, Nick Banks from York with writing implements, Polka Dot Vintage from Harrogate with vintage textiles and accessories, Park Antiques from Menston with Georgian furniture, clocks and English ceramics from 18th Century to mid 20th Century; Barkers from Leeds with antique tools and domestic bygones; Best Cellars from York with corkscrews and advertising ephemera; Goddards from Doncaster with vintage radios and Lawrie Art from Cheshire with fine contemporary art, including a collection of Ken White paintings (he was Richard Branson's personal artist for many years and produced the Scarlet Lady emblem which features on all Virgin Atlantic craft). Exhibitors from as far north as Glasgow and as far south as Dorset are all looking forward to the opportunity to meet and sell to Yorkshire buyers.
Opening times for the fair are 10am-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission cost is £4 per person.
