Telford team "bash" the competition
Experts from a Telford events production company have played a key role in one of the most famous motorcycle festivals in the world.
The team from stagecraftuk won the contract to build the main band stage at this year's Bulldog Bash - for the fourth year in a row.
Held at the Shakespeare County Raceway, in Long Marston, Warwickshire, the four-day event is billed as Europe's biggest biker party, and the festival is in its 24th year.
Over 15,000 people attended and enjoyed performances from a mix of rock and metal acts, as well as a quarter-mile drag racing strip for jet-force cars and rocket-propelled bikes.
Custom-made bikes and cars were also on show, along with a Wall of Death, wrestling bouts and white-knuckle rides.
Jon Turner, Electrical Manager from stagecraftuk, said: "We were very pleased to win the contract once again to build the main band stage for such a high profile event.
"It's one of the most technical stages we put together, and is the largest outdoor deck we build in a marquee.
"Previously it has taken two days to build, but this year we had a crew of ten staff on site, and completed the entire build in just 12 hours.
"When you consider there were more than 75 stage panels to install in order to create the 72ft by 28ft stage, which was also five feet high, we're very proud of our achievements in such a short time."
This year rock group The Brothers Grimm were one of the highlights on the stagecraftuk stage, and last year, rock legends Motorhead starred on the same set.
The stagecraftuk team has a wealth of experience in the live events industry and offer set design and installation, production and event management, dry and production equipment hire, and electrical services.
