Our board's skills and expertise set the strategic direction and provide tactical backup for the AEV.

The board is comprised of elected members serving fixed terms who represent a wide range of venues. Their skills and expertise set the strategic direction and provide tactical backup for the AEV.

The board meet quarterly and operate through a series of Steering Groups. These groups focus on specific areas to help shape and deliver the priorities of the AEV including marketing, events, research and member benefits.

Jeremy Rees, (Chief Executive Officer, ExCeL London)

Jeremy Rees is CEO of ExCeL London, with a career spanning over two decades within the exhibition and events industry. He has worked as an organiser, supplier and venue operator for companies such as Clarion Events, Earls Court & Olympia Group and from 2010, ExCeL London.
Jeremy is currently Chairman of the Association of Event Venues (AEV) and sits on the Events Industry Assocation (EIA) board. He is also an active participant on a number of charity boards including the exhibition industry’s charity fundraiser and networking summer cricket event, Sticky Wicket.
