appoints new Business Development Manager

 

The East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced the appointment of Dean Rees as its new Business Development Manager.

 

Dean has a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in a variety of sales roles within the events and hospitality industry. He has worked in the Middle East and North Africa region for eight years, most recently as International Sales Director for Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions.

 

The focus of his role at the East of England Arena and Events Centre, situated at the East of England Showground in Peterborough, will be to broaden the appeal of the venue and drive an increase in business to business (b2b) events and large event business.

 

Dean said: “I am very excited to be joining at this important time in the development of the East of England Arena and Events Centre, and look forward to helping build its profile as the region’s premier venue for b2b events.”

 

The East of England Arena and Events Centre, formerly known as the Peterborough Arena, has recently made a large investment in its facilities. Plans for growth are set to continue throughout 2017 with refurbishments of its suites and upgrades to the venue’s infrastructure.

 

General Manager of the East of England Arena and Events Centre Jason Lunn said: “I am thrilled to have Dean joining us. His experience and contacts are a key part of our plan for growth and development. We are setting new standards in the region and Dean will be vital in communicating this to new clients looking to stage larger events here.”
