The launch of the rebranded East of England Arena and Events Centre reflects the investment in creating a modern, multi-purpose event space in the heart of the UK.

The new identity for the former Peterborough Arena, launched at the International Confex event in London on 1 March, follows extensive work to upgrade the venue’s exhibition buildings, facilities and infrastructure. This is the first step in an ongoing capital investment programme, which will increase its appeal to national, European, and international event organisers.

Chairman of East of England Arena and Events Centre Richard Tate said: “Our new name better reflects where we are, what we do, and critically, what we offer event organisers.

“It’s an exciting and positive time, with our plans set to be unveiled to event organisers at Confex. The new brand is supported by the recent appointment of Dean Rees to the newly created post of Business Development Manager and a new onsite Marketing Suite.”

Mr Rees, who has worked as an event organiser in the UK and Middle East, said: “As a venue, we tick all the boxes for event organisers. Located right beside the A1, to the west of Peterborough, we provide easy access for visitors as well as enabling speedy build up and breakdown. By rail we are just one stop from London King’s Cross.”

The venue, which has over 9000m2 of indoor space and 250 acres outdoors, plus secure parking for 22,000 cars, has the capability to host exhibitions, trade fairs, arena and outdoor concerts, conferences, corporate events, dinners, and awards ceremonies.

“We are a serious contender for people looking to place a serious business event,” added Mr Tate.
