Project Griffin

16 Aug 2016

Excel London are delighted to invite all AEV members to the annual Project Griffin seminar hosted at Excel London on Thursday 25 August from 09.30 – 12.30pm.

Project Griffin is a police-run initiative that advises and engages with businesses and employees across London on security and counter-terrorism issues. Designed to help all those interested in maintaining the safety and security of buildings, businesses and neighbourhoods, it provides an official, direct channel through which the police can share vital information relating to security and crime prevention.

ExCeL London’s absolute priority is the safety and security of all those who pass through the venue. This Project Griffin seminar will be the biggest to date and is an important step to maintaining our vigilance and keeping our customers and visitors safe, particularly in today’s challenging climate. The invitation is being extended to Excel’s clients, teams and neighbours and we would urge you to include a representative from your organisation.

This free-to-attend seminar includes presentations from specialist officers and members of the Metropolitan Police Service and will cover topics:

•           The nature of the threat currently posed by terrorism and violent extremism

•           Hostile reconnaissance: what it is and how to report it

•           What to consider in the event of a terrorist attack or incident

•           How to deal with suspicious items.

If you or any members of your team would like to attend, please RSVP with your full name and job title, company and contact details to: / 0207 069 4649
