Report: AEV Marketing & Comms Working Group, March 1 2017

17 Mar 2017

The AEV Marketing & Comms Working group gathered for its first meeting of 2017, at Olympia London on Wednesday, March 1st.

Group chair, Jazmin Beale of Olympia London, led the proceedings, welcoming new members and guest speakers to the event from inbound marketing firm VividFish and marketing platform provider Hubspot.

Following the formalities, Beale invited the Hubspot representatives to take the floor, and the group heard a thought-provoking presentation on inbound marketing methodology and lead generation and management.

Thanking the Hubspot speakers for their contribution the group then moved to the discussion topics on the agenda, including an extended discussion about CRM systems in use by members, industry mailing list rules due to come into effect in 2018, and the group’s LinkedIn presence.

With the discussion topics covered, Beale invited members to talk about their news and venue updates. There was much to report with positive news from several venues around the country. After agreeing the agenda items for the next meeting, the group agreed to hold it on June 28, at the NEC Birmingham, just before the next AEV conference at The Vox.

On that note, Beale thanked all the group members and guests for their attendance and formally closed the meeting.
