The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has announced the speakers and key content streams for the UK's first venue conference, which is taking place at the Business Design Centre, London on 2 June 2016.

The conference will open at 9.45am for registration and there will be a welcome address by the AEV chair Graham Stephenson. Following this there will be a full stream of content starting with the keynote address by the founder of Be World Class, Simon Hartley. This will be followed by a presentation by Newham Police Counter Terrorism Unit entitled Stay Safe which will round off the morning's content.

After lunch there will be two break out sessions, one being from Murray Dickson, head of business relationships at the NEC who will be speaking on Tomorrow's Technology for Today, the other will be around the role food plays in venues, presented by James Mark, executive director of ExCeL London. The afternoon then progresses with John Probyn, MD of NEC Live Productions, who will be speaking on the importance of understanding your customer, audience and team.

The afternoon speaker schedule will finish with chairman of SECC Will Whitehorn who will discuss how change can impact business and brand. After the closing remarks from Graham Stephenson there will be extended networking opportunities with the day closing at 6pm.

AEV director Rachel Parker commented, “We are thrilled with the quality and range of speakers in the conference programme, I am sure that there is content here that will be of interest to many people working across the spectrum of venues, and to organisers and suppliers as well.”

Registration for places at the conference can be made on the event website, here. All AEV member venues receive one complimentary delegate pass and additional tickets are £185 + VAT each for AEV/AEO/ESSA members and £300 + VAT each for non–members.
