Jolene will discuss the new UK employment law legislation : On 18th December 2025 the Employment Rights Bill received Royal Assent, it is therefore being introduced into legislation as the Employment Rights Act 2025. Jolene will address some of the key changes to the legislation most likely to have greatest impact on all those involved in the venue and events industry, including unfair dismissal, fire and rehire practices, zero hour contract changes and rights in respect of sick pay. In respect of each of these areas she will also look at the time frames for when a member of staff can bring Tribunal claims and what type of claims can be brought. This will provide each attendee with take-away practical tips that can be implemented in their business.
