Contract Manager

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

The role is within the Estate and Neighbourhoods (E&N) directorate which looks after every aspect of the Park including its venues, facilities and public spaces. E&N are also responsible for generating commercial revenue through events, as well as delivering a high quality and safe experience for all visitors to and workers on the Park. Within the directorate, there are specialist teams in Events, Security, Estate Management, Venues and Contracts.

This role will be within the Contracts team in E&N and will be responsible for managing key contracts within the directorate. The Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing the effective delivery, compliance, and performance of operational contracts and park management contracts. This role ensures that services are delivered reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, in alignment with organisational goals and contractual obligations. The Contract Manager plays a key role in supplier relationship management, financial administration, and operational coordination, contributing to continuous improvement and strategic success.

We are looking for a Contract Manager who is organised, resourceful, and focused on making things run smoothly, taking ownership of contracts from start to finish, making sure everything is appropriately documented, and obligations are met. The candidate is confident managing financial processes like receipting and invoicing and enjoys improving processes by developing and mapping out better ways of working. They are comfortable setting up meetings, tracking KPIs, and carrying out venue inspections. They communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, work well with others, and adapt quickly when things change. This candidate enjoys working in an operational environment and diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of their work.

  • The salary for this post is £48,504 per annum. LLDC operates a performance-based incremental pay scale.
  • The probationary period for this post is for 3 months. Upon successful completion of the probation period, confirmation of employment will be given, and the notice period will be three months.
  • This is a permanent role. 
  • This is full time position, working 37 hours per week. 
  • All employees are eligible to join our pension scheme, which is provided by the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Annual leave entitlement is 32 days per year, plus bank holidays, pro-rata for part-time employees. The LLDC leave year runs from 1st April until 31st March and the entitlement will be pro-rata from the individual’s start date.
  • To align with LLDC’s objectives, we offer 3 fully compensated volunteer days (pro-rata for part-time employment) providing all staff with the opportunity to serve the community in which they live in.
  • LLDC can provide employees with an interest-free loan to purchase a season ticket for travel to and from work. Loans are available for the actual cost of the ticket up to a maximum value of £5,000.
  • LLDC employees are eligible for a discounted gym membership at the Copper Box Arena and free membership at the London Aquatics Centre. Employees can enjoy the use of both state-of-the-art gyms and swimming facilities for £15 per month.
