SEC welcomes opening of neighbouring Radisson RED hotel
The Scottish Event Campus is excited to announce the opening of a new hotel directly opposite the venue. The Radisson RED will open its doors in April 2018, with 174 rooms including 16 Suites. The hotel is the first new-build Radisson RED in Europe.
The addition of the hotel to the campus takes the total number of rooms on campus to 1025. The Radisson also features a rooftop bar overlooking the River Clyde, providing further hospitality options for event organisers.
Emma Jackson, Lead Sales at Radisson RED Glasgow, said: “We are excited to bring the UK's first Radisson RED to Glasgow, a city with such a strong fit for a lifestyle hospitality brand, bringing something fresh to Glasgow and a new hospitality experience for visitors to the SEC.â€'
Kathleen Warden, Director of Conference Sales at the SEC, added: “The opening of the new Radisson RED hotel further emphasises the scale of development happening across the campus.â€'
Director of Exhibition Sales, Dan Thurlow, continued: “The ever-increasing number of hotel rooms within a five or ten-minute walk of the campus makes the SEC one of the most convenient venues for organisers, exhibitors and visitors.â€'
The announcement closely follows the opening of The Clydeside Distillery on the other side of the campus, and forms part of the larger story of the Scottish Event Campus' evolution.
