AEV announces 16th eGuide adoptee as Bournemouth International Centre

The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has, today, revealed the 16th member to formally adopt the AEV eGuide is Bournemouth International Centre.

The eGuide is an essential resource for UK event venue, organiser, exhibitor and supplier companies. It has been providing event operational guidance for achieving common standards on a wide variety of topics related to event operation, management and on-site conduct for the past 18 years. 

Bournemouth International Centre is operated by registered charity and social enterprise, BH Live, in partnership with BCP Council.  

On behalf of BH Live, Sarah Stainer, conference & exhibitions manager, shared; “We’re really pleased to use an industry‑recognised eGuide created by people who understand what it takes to deliver great events. In fact, we’ve been using the principles within the eGuide to shape our processes for several years already, so adopting it formally feels like a natural step. Having a shared industry benchmark helps create consistency that event organisers can trust, while making planning simpler, supporting safer environments, and giving everyone a clear and reliable reference point.”

The eGuide is an open resource available via the AEV website and is reviewed regularly to ensure up-to-date content.  Updates are issued annually.

Alden Arnold, head of commercial and projects, AEV, commented, “Using the eGuide is crucial, adopting it allows our venues to show suppliers and organisers they are following consistent industry agreed guidelines.  Once annually approved, all adoptees can use our year specific eGuide adoptee logo to demonstrate they are abiding by the guidelines set in the eGuide.”

eGuide working group chair, Michelle Baldwin, head of events, NEC Group said, “Seeing venues adopt the e-Guide together is a real step forward for the industry.
