AEV announces NaCTSO counter-terror update to its 2017 conference programme

The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has added a counter-terror update to its programme for the 2017 AEV Conference, to be held at The Vox, Birmingham, 29 June.

Representatives from the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) will address the conference on counter-terror and security related topics.

Rachel Parker, AEV director, welcomed the addition to the conference programme, saying: “Terrorism is a prime focus for the venue sector at the moment and this will be a critical session for all to learn more about what we can do to prevent terrorism and mitigate its impact.

“NaCTSO has sent its representatives to join us on the AEV security working group several times now, and its contributions have been extremely informative and helpful. By addressing the AEV conference on 29 June, NaCTSO will bring vital counter-terror advice and insight to an audience of venue event teams, and I'm very grateful for their participation.”
