AEV Board welcomes new members from Manchester Central and Liverpool ACC

The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has announced the appointment of two new board members, Elizabeth Faulkner, assistant CEO Manchester Central, and Kerry Quinn, Liverpool ACC's deputy CEO & director of events and operations, bringing the total number of board members to 14.

Rachel Parker, AEV director, welcomed the new board members saying, “I'm delighted to welcome Kerry and Elizabeth to the board, and I'm confident that their combined experience and knowledge will be great assets to the board and the association.”

Both Quinn and Faulkner bring nearly half a century of experience to the board, from within the event venue sector as well as airports and hotels.

Quinn remarked, "I'm delighted to be appointed as a member of the AEV's governing body, and to have the opportunity to lend my efforts to the association's work in safeguarding and promoting the event venue industry."

Faulkner commented, "Joining the board is a very positive step for Manchester Central, and I am looking forward to helping to plan the focus and direction of the association going forward."

Quinn began her career in HR for the NHS and then at Teeside airport, becoming airport director at Peel Airports Ltd in 2008. Quinn moved to a role as operations director at Cardiff Airport, before joining Liverpool ACC in 2012.

Faulkner held multiple senior business development and event management positions before joining Manchester Central as Marketing Director in 2012 and becoming Assistant CEO – Events in 2014.
