AEV launches 2017 salary survey
The Association of Event Venues (AEV) is commencing its salary survey for 2017, and inviting AEV member venues to contribute their salary data to the project, which will be published as a report later in the year by survey specialist Explori.
The data submitted by the participating venues will be composited, anonymised and analysed to show trends in salary, commissions, bonuses, pensions, benefits, cars, and holidays. The survey will collect data from venues on remuneration for roles in sales, marketing, event management, facilities, security and health & safety, resolving up to 4 levels of seniority within each venue.
AEV director, Rachel Parker, commented, “This is the second year that we have asked Explori to compile our salary survey, and this year we've made some significant changes to how we collect holiday and pension information, as well as giving the option to review data before submitting it online. It is a vital tool in creating meaningful salary benchmarks for the sector, and over time I believe it will grow into a valuable resource for analysing and plotting industry trends. I'm urging any AEV members not yet involved to contact us and consider joining in with this year's survey.”
