AEV welcomes Southbank Centre into membership

The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has welcomed its newest member, the Southbank Centre, the largest arts centre in the UK.
Situated in the centre of London since 1951, the venue is described as the beating heart of London’s cultural life. Their spaces range from the iconic Royal Festival Hall to the unique architecture of the Hayward Gallery and showcase the best of the city and beyond.
Miles Eady, commercial events sales operations manager, Southbank Centre commented, “We are really excited to be joining the Association of Event Venues and becoming part of this network of industry leaders. As one of the UK’s most important cultural venues, the Southbank Centre is committed to fresh thinking, collaborating and keeping to the best standards in event delivery. Joining AEV will allow us to share our experiences, keep up with industry developments and to network with our peers working with the same challenges and opportunities we face. This membership strengthens our ability to adapt to an evolving events landscape, ensuring we continue to provide world-class experiences for our audiences, clients and partners.”
Rachel Parker, director, AEV, said, “We are looking forward to working with the Southbank Centre and keen to share our collaborative practices, knowledge and experience. I am delighted to welcome them into membership.”
