Report: AEV MarComms Working Group: 28/02/18
The freezing temperatures and snowfall didn't prevent 15 members of the group attending their first meeting of 2018 during International Confex - hosted by Olympia - London. The group welcomed new representation from Alexandra Palace, Bournemouth International Centre, NAEC and Kent Event Centre. A considered agenda provided active conversations surrounding venue marketing support that is made available to their contracted events, GDPR, industry press and the evolving marketing mix. AEV instructed the attendees on how to utilise the AEV logo, how to post vacancies via the members zone and a reminder of additional membership benefits. A new “about AEV” document was circulated to great appreciation.
The Group agreed on future agenda items for the next meeting in June, which takes place at ExCeL London on 27th June, the day before our AEV Conference.
The meeting closed after a round of venue updates.
