Venue conference launched by AEV

The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has announced its first ever conference, scheduled to be held at the Business Design Centre, London on 2 June 2016, the conference is aimed at personnel working within members' venues.

Details of the conference programme will be released shortly, but it will cover many areas of venue management and will bring in external speakers to share their knowledge of customer experience and best practice. There will also be the usual AEV opportunities to share experience and expertise with fellow member venues.

The AEV has created a working group to manage the development of the event, including AEV chair Graham Stephenson of the BDC , Kathryn James of the NEC, Jeremy Rees of ExCeL London, Alison Griffin of The International Centre, Telford, Dan Thurlow of the SECC and AEV director Rachel Parker.

AEV chair Graham Stephenson commented, “Having a venue specific conference has been something we have discussed for quite some time, so I am delighted that we are now able to announce our first conference in June. There are plenty of ideas surrounding the content and format for the day and we will be announcing full details in the coming weeks but it will be focused on providing venue teams with insight, information and an opportunity to share information with one another.”
