Live Streaming Guide

COVID-19 has restricted our ability to run live events.  As we all think of new innovative ways to keep our industry alive one of the options available to us is the ability to live stream; to connect people, share content and encourage debate.

For those organisers that may have never used live streaming to support their events before and perhaps wouldn’t know where to start, what questions to ask and how to ensure the chosen solution delivers on the day we would like to share with you a streaming guide.

Live Streaming Guide

Amir Vered, Head of eForce & IT at Olympia Events explains: “As chair of the Cross-Association Technology Working Group I am delighted to share with you a basic guideline for live streaming requirements.  It was created in collaboration with the venue and event supplier representatives from our group and we hope it will help you to make an informative decision and ask the knowledgeable questions of the various partners involved in planning a hybrid or online event”

He continues “Online could never replace live events, however until we are able to return to what we do best we must gather all the skills and resource we possess within our industry and work together to get through this challenging time”.

With this in mind and as a collaborative Technology Working group we are here to help and provide guidance with any other areas the industry can benefit from, please let us know (via info@aev.org.uk) if we can shine a torch and break down any other technology related challenges.
