Gillian is Venue Director at Olympia Events. She graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) in Event Management in 2000, starting her career as an exhibition organiser at DMG worldmedia. She has worked in the exhibitions industry for fifteen years, thirteen of those for Olympia London.  Before assuming her role as Venue Director, Gillian served Olympia as an Event Manager and the Conference Centre & Projects Manager.

She is responsible for the overall operational and customer facing aspects of the business. Her responsibilities include ensuring events are delivered safely, that costs are efficiently managed, that the operating business is enhanced by the ongoing project work and ensuring that the venue meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers at all times by driving culture and values within the team.

During the redevelopment of Olympia London, Gill has been instrumental in ensuring the delivery of events remained feasible. Liaising closely with the development and construction teams to ensure the operational business remains at the forefront of everyone’s mind.

When not at work, Gill is kept busy looking after her three children.
