Michelle Baldwin
Michelle is Head of Events at The NEC Group where she has worked for 25 years. As Head of Events, Michelle is responsible for a team of 15 people to ensure the effective delivery of all events within the NEC Halls. At the age of 17, she started as a casual catering staff member at the ICC before working as an Event Co-ordinator in Catering to an Event Manager spanning a colourful history of events such as Spring Fair, BBC Good Food, CV Show to name a few. This led her to become a Senior Event Manager before been seconded to the Commonwealth Games to deliver the NEC campus event delivery. Fast forward a few years and Michelle is now enjoying the challenges of running a busy department with a fantastic team of individuals, event calendar, organisers and contractors. Some of Michelle’s achievements within the industry are Chairing the AEV e-guide Group, past Chair of the AEV Event Management Group and Winner of the EN Awards for Best Event Manager 2012.
