All Secure Standard 2.0 gets green light from DCMS

The All Secure Standard, a framework of guidance and risk assessment for planners to safely organise conferences and exhibitions, has been updated to reflect the UK moving to step 4 of the Covid roadmap.

The updated version of the guidance is now publicly available and has received the seal of approval from DCMS.

The All Secure Standard was first launched in November 2020 by The Events Industry Alliance (EIA) formed of the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) and the Association of Event Venues (AEV).

The All Secure Standard outlines the measures that show organisers are taking to ensure the health and safety of all visitors, exhibitors, contractors and staff, particularly in response to COVID-19; how these measures are being implemented; and why having an All Secure Standard is important to the industry's recovery from the pandemic and its preparedness for the future.

“Collectively the AEO, AEV and ESSA and their members have led the industry on standardising and embedding how business events can be run safely and securely during the pandemic,” ESSA director Andrew Harrison said.

“This new edition of the All Secure Standard recognises the changes in the national and international pandemic situation, and ensures event industry businesses have approved and agreed guidance to work to, regardless of their sector or specialism.”

More information on the All Secure Standard can be found via these links, including Government guidelines and the key measures, which set out a ‘pick and mix' list of measures to consider when planning events and can be used in conjunction with the risk assessments.
