  • The NEC has been chosen by Kidtropolis to host the Birmingham edition of the UK’s biggest kids event for 2018. 

  • The Scottish Event Campus is excited to announce the opening of a new hotel directly opposite the venue. The Radisson RED will open its doors in April 2018, with 174 rooms including 16 Suites. The hotel is the first new-build Radisson RED in Europe.

  • Home-based swimming is making a splash across the UK – and the latest innovations are landing right on Coventry and Warwickshire’s doorstep for the general public.

  • Irish recording artist, singer and musician Ronan Keating will be playing live in Coventry on Friday 30 March it has been announced today.

     

     

  • The NEC is preparing to host the Tea & Coffee World Cup as it comes the UK for the first time over 3-5 September 2018. The three-day event is the only international trade show that brings together the entirety of the industry’s supply chain from bean and leaf to cup.

  • The Scottish Event Campus has officially launched the latest addition to its award-winning conference offering; the SEC Meeting Academy. The facility is a £500,000 investment, and the newly created space is ideal for self-contained small to medium-sized meetings. Alternatively, the space can be integrated with the wider SEC conference facilities providing a VIP space for larger meetings. 

  • Providing craft drink enthusiasts with a whole new summer experience, Marked Events has announced Craft Drink Festival 2018 – a lively two-day event for all things craft, from beers, spirits and soft drinks to tasting masterclasses at the NEC.

  • The NEC is preparing to host yet another global first as Merlin Entertainments announced the next chapter in its growing portfolio of exciting attractions – THE BEAR GRYLLS ADVENTURE – which will open at the Birmingham based venue in 2018.

  • The NEC are thrilled to announce that Makers Central – an event dedicated to uniting all makers, builders and inventors – will be coming to the Birmingham based venue over May 5th and 6th 2018. 

  • Wasps and npower are launching a partnership to further enhance the Ricoh Arena’s sustainable approach to energy, helping power sport, business and entertainment at the Arena.

    npower will be installing a Combined Heat and Power plant at the Ricoh Arena, which will mean that Wasps will be generating their own electricity on site, as well as creating heat for the stadium and the under pitch heating system.

    As one of Britain’s largest energy companies, and part of the Innogy SE group, npower serves around five million residential and business accounts with electricity and gas.

    The new partnership will see npower launch an exclusive tariff for Wasps rugby and netball fans, as well as visitors to the Ricoh Arena in 2018. Fans will also benefit from a series of exclusive customer offers, competitions and energy saving tips for their home and family.
